Precise paint dosing for industrial processes
Dürr has introduced the “EcoPump GW iD”, a gear metering pump designed for use with common 1K and 2K coating materials in industrial painting processes. The development focused on durability, ease of handling and cost-effectiveness.
The new pump series is suitable for industrial painting applications requiring the precise volumetric delivery of consistent paint quantities. With flow rates ranging from 9 to 900 ml/min, the system can be tailored to specific requirements. In addition, the pump is compatible with Dürr’s “ready2integrate” concept, in which the control system, metering technology and applicator are matched to one another and supplied as a pre-configured solution. This simplifies installation and enhances process reliability.
Coating and bypass valve for operational reliability
To meet the demands of industrial painting processes, all variants come with an amorphous diamond-like carbon (ADLC) coating as standard. This provides high durability and helps to maintain surface quality.
The pump is optionally available with a bypass valve. In addition to pressure relief, the valve opens automatically in the event of overpressure, protecting the downstream applicator from operator errors and process disruptions. The flushable variants also feature a patented shaft bearing, which extends service life and reduces maintenance and servicing costs.
Flexible integration into dosing systems
The new pump is a component of the “Fluid Board2”, which combines all the components required for paint dosing within a compact footprint, allowing efficient integration into existing painting processes. For existing installations, the system can also be retrofitted onto the “Fluid Board1”, providing additional flexibility for modernisation projects. Furthermore, the pump is compatible with existing systems and can be retrofitted as a stand-alone component at any time.
