QIB Leaflet Duplex-coating now in English
The German based quality community organization QIB just published a English version of its information leaflet for the coating of hot-dip galvanized surfaces.
The 11-page document gives comprehensive information on the galvanizing process and important ISO norms. Also, it tackles the challenges of coating of galvanized materials such as Outgassing, plastering, defects in the zinc-coating, storage issues and Oxide skin.
A large part also addresses possible pre-treatment methods like mechanical and chemical pre-treatment, Iron and zinc phosphating, chromate and chromate free conversion layers. The document can be downloaded free of charge at the QIB website. Aside from this document on Duplex coatings the website also offers documents on other topics like corrosion protection, pre-treatment and many more.
