The Asociación Mexicana de Industriales de Acabados Superficiales (AMAS), the formal representative body of the surface finishing and coatings industry in Mexico, has confirmed the ninth edition of its annual specialist event. Surface Finishing México 2026 will take place on 24 and 25 November 2026 at the Club de Industriales de Querétaro, bringing together end users, suppliers, specialists and industry representatives.

Founded in 2014, AMAS works to support the competitiveness of the Mexican finishing sector through technical training, project development and the coordination of contacts between academia, government, end users and specialist suppliers. The association has organised the event since its inception and positions it as a central meeting point for the industry it represents.

A revised format for 2026

According to the organisers, the 2026 edition will move towards a more specialised format, with technical training, workshops, courses and business networking forming the core of the agenda. The programme is being adjusted in response to feedback from members, exhibitors and the wider industrial community.

The event covers processes including electroplating, anodising, liquid painting, powder coating, pre-treatment, surface preparation, automation, as well as topics related to sustainability and energy efficiency. End users represented at previous editions have come from the automotive, aerospace, medical device, electronics, appliance, jewellery and tool and die sectors, among others.

Programme elements

The two-day gathering will include:

  • Training workshops led by national and international specialists
  • A technical conference programme
  • Networking activities and business matchmaking sessions
  • Closed business meetings
  • A specialist exhibition area

For the first time, the commercial area will be organised around a limited number of spaces, with several configurations and sponsorship packages available. All service providers working at the venue must be authorised in advance by AMAS, and booth construction and general setup will be coordinated through suppliers designated by the association in order to meet venue operational, safety and branding requirements. Requests for custom booth designs will be reviewed individually by the organising committee.

Further details to follow

Registration fees, sponsorship opportunities, the academic programme and participation options for exhibitors, sponsors and attendees are due to be announced in the coming weeks. Priority will be given to AMAS member companies and event sponsors. The organisers have asked the industrial community to refer to the official AMAS and event communication channels for confirmed information on exhibitors, conferences and registration.
